travel album - final touches

are you all packed?  let's finish the album first!

I always try to add some sort of original way of identifying the day.  in this case I chose to use playing cards as we are going to "vegas"!

I added the rub-ons for the days in red.  I might add december to them as well.  not sure.  it is always a work in progress!  even after the trip I am adding more things.

speaking of embellishing!

a little slot machine, lucky card from jenni bowlin.  some puffy playing cards in the corner.  it's a start.

while I am on my trip I gather things to add to the album.  receipts, ticket stubs, business cards and tokens.  things that will make the album a true memory of the trip.  after the trip I will add photos as well as the memorabilia and I will share more photos of the album here.

travel album cont'd

so you have all your items gathered in front of you and you need to decide how you will pull the album together.  how many pages do you want?  I decided I wanted to start with at least two pages per day.  I am using a binder ring to hold it all together so if I want to add more pages later I can.

I started with the naked book:

 pieces all in front of me and then I painted the pages and began creating some pages by adding the patterned papers.

as you can see the cover I used the black patterned paper and added blue for the trim.  the red chipboard for the title.

the next thing I added were some transparency pages which I love!  the more different types of textures and patterns, the better!

so there you have it!  pages completed!

I will be going to Las Vegas on my next adventure and I will be there for a total of four days.  I decided to go with the red, white and blue color palette.  here is a pic of the supplies I am starting with.

this is what I will have in front of me as I work and of course I may not use it all.  I will also be pulling from my stash to embellish as I go.
