Today finds me awake literally before the crack of dawn. 4 am to be precise. I've had the first week of my 2 week vacation fly by and though I have had the best intentions to get off my ass and update my blog, clean the car and paint the entire house....only a single gallon of paint has been used and..... I eventually paid Morgan to clean the car.
We are loving the new house. I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have gotten over the labor pains of moving in and still feel completely at peace with the decision we made.
Our new home is right on Richfield Road. It sits sideways on the lot and has a front door on the west side of the house and a back door on the east side . It has taken all of us a little time to get orientated to not knowing where the front of the house is. But this was one of the cool things that attracted me to this particular house. It wasn't like any one else's...
The pathway from the side walk splits to the front and back gates. Each entrance has a small "courtyard". The master bedroom and Sarah's room both face the the backyard and is such a nice change from having bedrooms right off a street.
The back/east entrance is my favourite courtyard. In the corner is my new herb garden. A weekend was spent taking out what was a smelly fish pond. It doesn't get a ton of light but the herbs are growing like weeds.
My goal this past week has been to finally just sit in my house. And sit I have done....
Lets see if I can get back on track with the blogging thing shall we?
