Good Idea?

Last night I had an early visitor to the Garage sale. Should of known that free online ad in the journal was going to be trouble. Hello...it is TUESDAY people and NO you CANNOT check out what is for sale. Between Realtors not following the rules and being in my house when they're not supposed to be, to now unexpected visitors driving traffic violations. Holy hell...your van had 4 doors- all from DIFFERENT vehicles. It was like a Franken-Dodge Caravan. Sure come on in...NOT!!

On flip side. Every time I sit for more than 4 minutes something else pops up into my brain that can go in the Garage Sale.

Not one but 2 paved stone courtyards.

They are taking the only 2 appliances I didn't need. The washer and dryer. Mine are better.

The Realtor loved the House. The Inspectors thought we did good. The bank thought we did GREAT!

After 20 years of April 15th being a day of dread and mourning, today it wasn't. Today our family was laughing and planning and crying tears of happiness.

Thank you Coco. Thank you Mom and Dad. Thank you Universe for not letting me get in my own way.

Today we have a home.

The Signs Were All There

Yesterday was a surprise. Hell it was a chock full o nuts day full of surprises and good times. Work was work and is now so far in the distant past I can barely recall it any longer. Lola went into the groomers looking like a lion and came out a sheared naked little lamb. Scratch that. She was a COLD, unimpressed little puppy girl. The end of day brought some rushing about to get the dog home, return to work, leave work, get food, meet Realtor all without a coat. Holy hell..we had a blizzard.

Madam Realtor and I had signed a pact that I would let her do her job and try not to second guess myself by spending too much time on- line looking at the pictures. It was just depressing me beyond all comprehension. So much so, that  I had very VERY low expectations for the evening.  Instead the opposite happened.

Happy little miracles everywhere. From the first house being a do-able option- even with the unfinished bathrooms and pulled apart walls. ( low expectations remember..) To 5 houses later walking into a dream. There were omens screaming at us from every corner. Signs that we could not ignore for a single second longer. So we didn't. The number 3 kept on repeating itself over and over. Double 3's. That is good right? ( if it isn't...please don't tell me!)

The first hurdles have been passed in that an offer was accepted. Now we have inspection and bank. We are nervous but so excited and are just hoping it will all be smooth sailing from here on out.

Looking for Light

April is still screwing with me big time. Boss man has sold the clinic but hasn't come out and told us. Apparently this man doesn't understand that when he faxed the signed contract to sell, the fax confirmation that got pumped out 5 min after he left... is a little mini version of what he sent....Twit.

On the home front. Let's just say it together...IT SUCKS ASS!! I need a lottery win in the worst way. Realtors are better photographers than salesmen. The houses you see online are NOTHING like they are in real life. Holy crap! My agent has told me to stop going online and let her do her damn job. Fine already. You win.

Let me think..positives right now...hold on, this might take a minute......

Sarah got a rocking haircut! Pictures once she figures out the bang thing. She went way short and edgy and I must say I think it is the best cut she has had since she was 5 and had a pixie.

Found a fab new coffee joint called the Wired Cup. Right next door to the Red Ox Inn. Has a cute little gift shop where I picked Morgan up a robot dude T and the coffee training has been provided by the folks from Transcend. Best part....3 blocks from work.

Roller Coaster...

On the Downside..

• This week my iron level "peaked" at a giant 4...ugh..
• The For Sale sign went up in front of our house.
• I had to buy my own lunch at the Monday staff meeting cause boss man was late getting in from an emergency haircut.
• Slimy dude #2 is still hitting on me at work.
• I have bronchitis, Morgan has pink eye, Sarah has her "friend"... we are all miserable..
• Went looking at houses today and came home needing a nap.

On the Upside..

• I was given the go-ahead to actually GO LOOK AT HOUSES!!
• Caffeine is an excellent substitute for iron...
• Went for 4 walks this week with the boy and the dog.
• All my bills are paid.
• Dwayne came home for Easter. We will be celebrating with brunch!
• My ass is a size 10.
