some of you already know us but for those who don't, we thought we'd best do an introduction post....
Nadia:
Living a creatively inspired life has been a focus for Nadia for the last 15 years. As a result of embracing new challenges , new mediums and new techniques all while not following readily known convention, it has helped her become an innovator in the paper arts. Her life journals, artist books and other work has been published in various Somerset publications as well as numerous other magazines and zines. An easy going, fun instructor, she takes the fear out of creating for participants by helping them embrace even the messiest of mistakes. Her motto "be yourself, create art everyday"
Laurie:
Never afraid of a challenge, Laurie is the founding member of Pretty Mean Stampers, Past President of the Edmonton Calligraphic Society, organizer of Rubber Rendezvous, (a rubber stamp convention held in Edmonton , Alberta), as well as one of the organizers behind the Written Word Calligraphic Exhibit of 2007.
Repeatedly published in Somerset publications as well as many others, Laurie has blurred the line between conventional art techniques by combining mixed media with variety of different paper arts. As an owner of a rubber stamp company called "First Impressions", in the 90's, she was always looking for a way to bring the artist out of those who thought themselves as "crafters". She believes in never waiting for someone else to volunteer and is known for jumping right in and getting as dirty as needed.

And....they are two super funny chicks to boot!

Finally! I get to see who you are! Chantel (from TM) has been telling me about you for ages, but all she had for a description is "they know Anam and come into the store a lot." Not a lot of help as you can imagine. So next time you're in, I might just have to say hello! (pS. I totally work there by the way...and Chantel LOVED her book and bag!)

I noticed that you signed up for the workshop I'm giving through the E.C.S. in May. I look forward to seeing you! (and hope you are not disappointed.) until then, ~ A*
